The Salon Stands with Kamala Harris for the Future

The Salon is not a politics podcast. We are a group of friends from different backgrounds, ethnicities, genders, sexualities and points of view. We met through a common love of Star Trek. We gather in celebration of the values of diversity, optimism and humanitarianism Trek embodies. It is the undeniable threat posed by one candidate in the US Presidential election of 2024 to those values which drives us to share; we unequivocally stand with and support Vice President Kamala Harris in her campaign to become the 47th President of the United States.

We encourage everyone to double check your voter registration, to be sure you are registered at your current address. Sign up to vote by mail. Please also consider a contribution to the Harris/Walz campaign, and sign up to volunteer.

Please share the links below with your friends and family, and tell them your own reasons you support the campaign. You are the best messenger for your community.

It’s easy to forget what it was like four years ago. Many of us want to forget the lockdowns, massive protests, and people dying. Some of these events may not have been caused by Donald Trump directly, but they were exacerbated by his incompetence, and his selfishness. This was the daily chaos of the Trump administration. The harm caused in just four years was immeasurable.

It’s easy to be against something, but more can be done. We at the Salon stand with the candidates we believe to be the best possibility for moving us towards a Trek future. Vice President Harris, and Governor Tim Walz know what it’s like to struggle, to support others, to build community. We stand with Kamala Harris. Her entire life has been in service to others, and that is exactly why she should be our 47th President.
